My Mumblecore//Personal Brand (2016) 30 mins.

An anti-memoir. A short film about Santa Fe before the House of Eternal Return, before I knew how to dress, and before Prince/David Bowie died.

 

Relying on the traditions of the then dying genre of Mumblecore. 'My Mumblecore//Personal Brand' documents the changing media landscape of DIY low-fi production to more capitalist friendly Kickstarter type bids. While on the surface this is a 'meta' autobiographical film about a character trying to make a movie, this was my first attempt to find the rhythm and architecture of Santa Fe through cinematic languages.
